Faces of Milan

Alice Brobst-Walsh

Alice Brobst-Walsh
Retired Teacher, 32 years

Alice Brobst-Walsh taught two generations of Milan elementary students! She came to the Milan Area Schools in 1985 after living in Washington State. In Washington, she studied elementary education at Pacific Lutheran University and began her teaching career in Richland. She also studied at Eastern Washington University, and Seattle Pacific University. She completed a master’s degree at Eastern Michigan University.

Alice LOVED every minute of her time teaching at Paddock and Symons. Working with caring families, wonderful students and talented educators. She tried to share her love of history and the joy of reading with her students.

Alice has been married to the love of her life, Jerry Walsh, for 25 years. She has two grown stepchildren and two very precious granddaughters.

“Thank you for this honor,” says Alice.
